Mission statement

Power Payments Technologies is a SWIFT Solution Partner offering a SWIFT certified solution for MT Exceptions Management and for MX Exceptions & Investigations (E&I). Power Payments Technologies (PPT) objectives are to develop, distribute and support the best Exceptions Management solutions for SWIFT payments, for banks and corporate customers. Implementation and support for PPT’s Exceptions Management solutions are available from PPT or its local or regional partners who are leading companies with extensive SWIFT experience and credentials.

Solutions overview 

Easy to integrate and implement at Banks and Corporates, the Exceptions Management solution from PPT is the ideal solution for investigating exceptions in processing payment messages.

PPT Exceptions Management (PPT EM) can be implemented as a standalone solution connected to SWIFT Alliance Access or to the payment solution. The PPT SWIFT E&I solution includes standard interfaces to SWIFT Alliance Access and to the legacy systems of the Bank or Corporate. It exposes web services (SOA) for easy interface with existing SWIFT reconciliation, treasury management, messaging or e-banking solutions. PPT Exceptions Management is built on J2EE platform and is database and browser independent.

The Exceptions management solution from PPT supports all current and planned MT and MX (XML) SWIFT E&I cases and messages for bank to bank and bank to corporate exceptions management. It incorporates rule-based decision making and supports all required E&I cases and work flow management. It is the perfect solution to enhance existing Exceptions Management processes or to start new E&I projects now.

Company background

Power Payments Technologies founders are specialists of domestic and international payments, with proven experience in the creation of innovative products and processes. The areas where the company brings the most in-depth and advanced knowledge are international payments with a focus on wire transfers and card transactions.

PPT solutions and services are enabled by (1) PPT’s proven ability to achieve projects on time and on budget, (2) its leading edge competences in payments business, (3) a clear product and release strategy, (4) the creation of active user groups and regular business workshops and (5) an organisation providing effective customer support.

Organisation

Power Payments Technologies is incorporated in Luxembourg and has business development offices in the United Kingdom, France and Malaysia. Software development, support and hosting are based in Bangalore (India).

The shareholders of PPT are:

  1. Omnis Mundi, a platform of experienced technology entrepreneurs, which helps start-up companies, with global potential, through every steps of development including fund raising
  2. Alain Falys (see details below)
  3. Management of PPT.

Management Team

 

Alain Falys (Director)

Alain Falys founded OB10 Ltd , the global e-invoicing network, in 2000, together with three fellow Visa executives. He secured funding from Cargill Ventures in the US, Fleming, Virgin group and a large number of industry leaders, and was Chairman & CEO until March 2005. Headquartered in London, OB10 was successfully launched in the USA and Europe and some of the network’s global clients include HP, GSK, Sara Lee, Cargill, Kellogg’s and Barclays Bank. Today, over 36,000 companies worldwide are exchanging over 3m transactions annually on the OB10 platform. After leaving OB10, Alain co-founded Omnis Mundi. He spent a year in Asia advising on and evaluating entrepreneurial opportunities in card payment processing and is now advising start-ups across Europe in various sectors, including online retail, banking software, social networking and medical. Between 1996 and 2000, Alain was Senior Vice President at Visa International EU region, in charge of the B2B payments division, a $14bn card sales volume operation which enjoyed 40% growth p.a. Alain started his career in marketing in Milan and ran Business Development activities in Europe for Paris-based International Computer Group, a global IT services joint venture created by Computacenter Ltd and CompuNet AG.

Alain holds the Diplôme d’Etudes Supérieures Européennes de Management from the Reims Management School (CESEM), France and a BA Honours degree in European Business Administration from Middlesex University, UK.

 

Rodger McKechnie (Director)

Rodger McKechnie is responsible for Strategic Alliances and Business development in the EMEA region.  Prior to joining PPT he was a Senior Manager at SWIFT, where he held positions within Marketing and Partner Management with responsibility globally for a number of initiatives.  He has cultivated a cross-functional knowledge and business process expertise gained whilst developing a successful career in a broad range of roles including Marketing, Product Development, Sales, Channel Partner Strategy and Information Technology.

 

Daniel Maurice Vallerey (Director)

Daniel Maurice-Vallerey was the founder and Managing Director for Europe based companies offering consulting, products and processing services in the field of payments. He has the demonstrated capability to manage complex projects, generate results and motivate teams. He brings to PPT his considerable international experience and entrepreneurial skills in the financial, payments, consultancy and IT industries. He has a proven track record in successfully delivering products that meet client and market needs, from concept to development, implementation and support.

Daniel holds a M.Sc. (Physics and Chemistry) - Ecole Supérieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielle de Paris, France – and a Master of Business Administration (Information Systems) from the University of Texas at Austin, USA.

 

KK Hoo (SVP Asia)

KK is the SVP in charge of strategy and business development for the Asian markets. Prior to joining PPT, KK was the Vice-President (Sales) at PARADIGM SYSTEMS (Malaysia) responsible for leading, managing and expanding the sales and sales department for both public and corporate market segments. Other positions held included General Manager of SOFTSKILL SYNERGIES, Regional Sales Director of QUINT WELLINGTON REDWOOD ASIA, Vice-President of Regional Business Development of eBworx MALAYSIA, Regional Sales Manager for  SCHLUMBERGERSEMA (FINANCE SEGMENT), Regional Sales Manager for OASIS TECHNOLOGY LTD and at the forefront of EDI as Product Development and Marketing Officer at Maybank Corporate Banking.

KK holds a MBA from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), is a certified PRINCE2® Practitioner and holds a NCC Higher Diploma in Computer Studies.

 

Srinivasan Narayanamoorthy (CTO)

Srinivasan is the Chief Technical Officer of Power Payments Technologies. He brings extensive experience in planning, designing, developing, testing and deployment of IT solutions in the Financial world. As part of his career Srinivasan has successfully managed, planned and executed multiple business integration, services and system development projects within specified time frames.

Prior to Power Payments Technologies, Srinivasan was Account and Technology Manager at T8, managing the relationship with a large international bank for card solutions, Technical Architect for a Mobile banking system, handled the Core banking migration of a Indian bank and worked for Logica as the Technical Architect for the Real Time Gross Settlement System of the Reserve Bank of India. Srinivasan was also involved in the development of Corporate. Internet and Branch banking solutions.

Srinivasan holds a B.Sc. (Maths) from the Madras University, India and a Masters diploma in Software Engineering from Aptech, India.
